Delivery formats and file naming

A good delivery is one you can drop into your platform without renaming or converting. This page explains how deliveries are organized and what to tell the studio so they fit.

In 30 seconds

Tell the studio where the files will play and it will deliver in the formats that platform accepts, one folder per language, with the version and language in every file name.

What comes back

The studio delivers the final files for each language and, when the brief asks for it, extras such as subtitle files, a version without the voice or separate tracks.

How deliveries are organized

  • One folder per language.
  • Every file name carries the project, the language and the version, for example launch-film_de_v2.
  • One note per delivery saying what is inside and what changed since the last one.

Tell the studio about the platform

Different players, social networks and phone systems accept different files. Name the platform in the brief, and mention anything unusual: a maximum file size, a loudness requirement or a required sample rate.

Keep the originals

Keep the delivered files unchanged somewhere safe. If you need a new length or a new format later, the studio can start from the original rather than from a converted copy.

Quick answers

Do I get the project files or only the final?

Say so in the brief. Final files are the default. Separate stems or source files can be requested when you will edit further.

What if the platform rejects a file?

Send the error message to the brand you booked through and the studio will deliver the right format.

Ready to brief the studio?

Tell us what you need and where it will run, and the right brand of the group will answer.
