Character voice over

A character voice gives a brand, a product or a story a personality: a mascot, an animated guide or a game figure. The voice needs to be distinctive and repeatable.

Before you start

  • The personality, in a few words and one sample line.
  • How often the character will speak.
  • Whether it must stay consistent across languages.

What you receive

A set of lines in the character’s voice, with the casting notes recorded for later use.

A common mistake

Casting once and not documenting the voice, so it cannot be matched later.

How it works

  1. 01

    Brief

You tell the studio what the piece is for, who will hear or see it and where it will run.

  2. 02

    Produce

The studio casts, directs and produces it, with native speakers for every language.

  3. 03

    Review

A person checks the result against the brief, and a native speaker reviews each language, before delivery.
